“Just looking over the pictures. Oh man, that beer looks good. You guy's were great to travel with and the tour was as grand as the people on it.”

Overview A bicycle tour in Czech Republic's Southern Bohemia region in spring is not to be missed. This cycling tour is two tours in one. The first two days take you through the beauty of the Czech Republic's Sumava Nature Park, bordering Germany, is an area virtually untouched for over 40 years in Southern Bohemia. The Communists used the nearby mountains and sensitive proximity to the German and Austrian border to cocoon the Sumava region away from prying eyes. It is now a playground for mtn bikers, hikers and sailors...and bike tourers.
Starting high, at the headwaters of the Vltava River, it is also perfect for gentle cycling as you ride down a wide river valley through some of the oldest untouched forests in Central Europe before heading north into the towns Bohemia is best known for: Cesky Krumlov, Tabor, Trebon, and Jindrichruv Hradec, where the second half of the tour takes place.
Castles, monasteries and ancient fortresses and old town squares are on offer as you get a real understanding of the the Czech lands. The tour is rich in Gothic, Italian Renaissance and Baroque architecture while the countryside is a patchwork quilt of tiny villages surrounded by barley and wheat fields. Begin and end in Prague.
